Joe Muscara, President - Joe began tinkering with computers around the tender age of 12, starting out with the BASIC computer language. Didn't everybody? Over the years, he learned various other languages, many of which are obsolete (read: dead) today. He took a detour from working with computers exclusively for a few years, earning his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1990 and his M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of Houston in 1997. Still, he ended up working with computers that entire time as an engineer, at one point working on Engine Management Systems for GM. After his stint as an engineer, he returned to working with computers and also "discovered" his creative side at Alsoft, Inc. where he developed their web site, wrote manuals for products such as DiskWarrior, produced brochures, and prepared graphics for trade shows. It was during this time at Alsoft that Joe volunteered to do the newsletter for his subdivision, the Garden Oaks Gazette. This included editing articles and the doing the digital layout of the newsletter that ran 12 - 16 pages. Joe left Alsoft in 2002 to form his own web design and development company, termite terrace studios. Since then, he has managed the development of web sites for a full range of clients whose needs ranged from simple static sites to database-driven dynamic sites with secure shopping carts. Joe and his company termite terrace studios are committed to creating web sites that please users and reflect the vision of the site owner.
